How Could You? Hall of Shame-Avery Abraham

From Logansport, Louisiana, foster father, Avery Abraham, 62, “admitted Tuesday to molesting foster children as his trial was underway in DeSoto District Court.

A jury was seated Monday in the trial of Avery Abraham, 62, of Logansport, but before opening statements could be given Tuesday, Abraham pleaded guilty to three counts of molestation of a juvenile.

A presentence investigation was ordered by DeSoto District Judge Amy Burford McCartney prior to sentencing at a later date.

The two victims were foster children who were juvenile age when the crime happened and were not in Abraham’s home at the same time. Both are now adults.

Abraham is held until sentencing in the DeSoto Detention Center, which is where he’s been incarcerated since his arrest in August 2024. ”
