From Georgetown County, South Carolina, foster mother , Rosa Singleton, “has been arrested after two elementary school students reported alleged abuse to their school’s resource officer.

Rosa Singleton, 46, was taken into custody by investigators and booked into the Georgetown County Detention Center.

Investigators said the students told the school resource officer that Singleton had been tying one of the children to a chair and taping his mouth shut as punishment.

Representatives with the Department of Social Services are assisting in the investigation and coordinating emergency placement for the children.

The investigation remains ongoing.
