How Could You? Hall of Shame-Enrique Houghton

From Colorado Springs, Colorado, foster parent, Enrique Houghton was “arrested on Sept. 10 for two counts of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust. ”

“The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is looking for additional victims of a man who has served as a foster parent and who allegedly had sexual contact with children under his care.

According to CSPD, police began investigating on July 7 after a report alleging the sexual assault of two underage boys by their foster parent, 35-year-old Enrique “Rico” Houghton. CSPD said the investigation revealed Houghton had engaged in sexual contact with at least two boys who were under his care.

Continued investigation by detectives with the Crimes Against Children Unit revealed that Houghton was a foster parent to numerous children over the past five years. Additionally, he has worked in positions of trust primarily with youth males needing supervision in the Pikes Peak region.”

“Police have reason to believe there could be additional victims, and asked that if you believe you or someone you know could have been victimized, you should call CSPD at (719) 444-7000.”
